New Pro2000 Combined Filters
Scott launches ABEK NO CO P3 filters
Scott Safety is delighted to announce the launch of two new filters in their industrial canister range, extending the Pro2000's filtering capabilities to Nitrogen Oxides and Carbon Monoxide.
The CFR22 model provides A1B1E1K1 NO CO 20 P3 R D classification in a lightweight size, while the larger capacity CFR32 model provides A2B2E2K1Hg NO CO 20 P3 R D.
The new filters are supplied in packs of 10 and are individually sealed in aluminum foil pouches to provide a 7 year storage life.
Both models have a small diameter inlet to facilitate negative seal testing before use, and they exceed the requirements of the EN and DIN approvals.
How do they work?
In addition to the particle and carbon media, the new filters contain a catalyst which, by adding oxygen molecules, converts Nitrous Oxides to Nitrogen Dioxide (NO to NO2) and Carbon Monoxide to Carbon Dioxide (CO to CO2).
The NO2 is then filtered out by the carbon media in the same way as other gases and vapours, while the CO2 passes through the filter and is simply exhaled normally with other CO2 from the wearer's lungs.
Both filters are single use against CO and NO, and the maximum use against CO is for 20 minutes.
